Judging by the vintage bakelite base, a rich maroon color, this whimsical French lamp was made in the 20s or 30s. I’ve rewired it (for American use) and it works nicely, as shown, with a 7 ½ watt incandescent bulb, just enough to light up the mouth.
Made of sheep’s horn, and with horn “fins,” this trophy fish saves on taxidermy costs and has all the spunk of a good-sized trout frozen in time.
Guaranteed to impress at least two sets of friends – hunters and fishers.

Measurements: about 10 ¼ high (the back fin), fastened to a bakelite base that’s 3 ¾ square. Outside dimensions: about 12 by 6 ¼.
