The upper cupboard with double door set in a carved lozenge and gilded recessed frame. Carved and gilded stiles are supported by a wonderful pair of carved cup and cover columns. The twin door cupboard below carved and gilded geometric and lozenge decoration with two heavily gadrooned drawers above. Excellent color and patina. Labeled George Hobbs of NewCastle England. - Good Condition - this cabinet has a couple of imperfections as to be expected from a 300 year old cabinet. … moreGood Condition - this cabinet has a couple of imperfections as to be expected from a 300 year old cabinet. The top is very slightly warped, one of the key hole covers is missing and it looks as though the left side door was repaired some time in the past. The repair is expertly performed but the replacement board doesn’t show with the amazing patina that is on the rest of the cabinet. These three idiosyncrasies show character and give testimony to its history. less
