A lovely gilt mantel mirror from 19th century France, the narrow proportions of the frame are decorated with iconic–if not a bit romantic–themes from the court of Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette. An artfully sculpted crest of a tied bow crowns the domed top, transitioning to an intricate floral garland draped between the two sides. Dense carvings of laurel leaves in the frame are intermittently crossed with a ribbon-effect, echoing the delicate bow above. The perfect size to make a big impact anywhere.
