A pair of very nice Mid-century modern ceramic/stoneware vases hand-made by Thomas Hellström for Nittsjö Sweden. This is one of Hellströms' most famous design for Nittsjö Keramik, Sweden produced in the 60s, and very much of its time, yet still has a contemporary feeling to it. The design and shape are simple, but that is what makes these vases very special object is the glazing. The color is a warm chocolate base with white and pale green details in a graphic patter and top part unglazed in a typical brutalist art tradition.
They are 20cm (7.87") high and 10cm (3.93") in diameter. Note that there is a micro nick on the neck of one of the vases, reflected in the price, yet overall of a fantastic condition. The price is for both vases. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
