The lid is in good condition and one piece. Usually they are in just display condition, but this one would make a great place for a knitter to put their projects. There are two compartments and it's very light to carry around, and it's looks great next to a chair. It is signed on the top and is about 150 years old. It has ornate carving on the wood handle and its wood on all the edges with a basket material in between. It's a reddish brown and looks like rosewood. It would make a beautiful display but is good enough to use. See less
