Gerd Lange 'Flex 2000' Table for Thonet, 1973 & a wonderful set of Thonet style stools in lacquered wood and webbing. This is a truly wonderful and very timeless designed table by Gerd Lange for high-end manufacturer Thonet. Avant garde and very modern for its time, wood and plastic were combined. A very elegant and unusual design. If you think about it it must be very hard to design a table with a very distinct and unique appearance - but Gerd Lange succeeded with this one. It is also very well made and high - and heavy - quality. A timeless and iconic piece of furniture. The 'Flex 2000' series was a truly unique and ground braking series of furniture by designer Gerd Lange and Thonet. For the first time wood and plastic were combined to create chairs and tables. Lange designed this series in 1973. The stools This is a wonderful set of Thonet style stools in black lacquered bentwood and webbing. Made in Europe in the 1970s. Very elegant and timeless design that fits in almost every interior style. The black lacquer contrast wonderfully with the original webbing - which is intact. The set comes in a very good vintage condition with wear due to age and use - but nothing worrying. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
