A set of four “Sof-Tech” chairs designed by David Rowland for Thonet.
Mid century modern seating that provides great visual interest and comfort. The “Sof-Tech” material that coats the seat and seat back provides a gentle spring when sitting, making these chairs genuinely comfortable to sit in.
Originally the chairs were produced in several different color combinations. We have updated their look with a neutral brown color making them easy to incorporate into a modern space, and along with a custom seat cushion for added interest. The seat cushion is attached with hidden Velcro and may be removed if desired.
We think these chairs would be perfect at a game or dining table. Indoor use only.
Seat cushion measures 16”W x 15”L x 3”D
The original makers sticker was destroyed while restoring and refreshing these pieces. The measurements, materials and photo documents are strong evidence that these are “Sof-Tech” Thonet chairs.
