This vase is signed by the artist Sara McLaughlin on the side just above the base; it does not have a Weller mark. McLaughlin was one of the original Weller Pottery artists from the company's formation. Circa 1920 - 1933.

Weller Pottery was founded in 1872 by Samuel Weller in Fultonham, Ohio, as a manufacturer of simple utilitarian items such as stoneware jars and crocks. In the 1880s, the company moved to Zanesville, OH and began producing decorative art pottery as part of the Arts and Crafts movement. At this time Weller Pottery began employing talented designers, and gained recognition for its innovative glazes and artistic designs. Today collectors are drawn to Weller's diverse range of styles from art nouveau to arts and crafts including hand-decorated floral motifs to rich matte glazes.

This vase is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks; there is professional restoration on the rim, a glaze drip originating from production, fine crazing, and some accumulated staining inside the vase from use. See photos for condition.
