Danish furniture manufacturer, Jesper Office, started a new project in 2013 - to build a timeless and organically superior product while minimizing environmental impact. It became known as the "Highland 75 Collection," and was only produced for several years.

This Highland 75 Writing Desk, with matching file cabinets, is from the original Highland 75 Collection. The desk and file cabinets were made by hand in the United States by skilled craftsmen, using solid North American Cherry wood from FSC-certified local forests, and they're finished with a pure, hand-rubbed oil finish. North American Cherry is a strong hardwood with a subtle grain pattern. Its warm color deepens with exposure to the natural environment, and it has superior woodworking characteristics. These pieces of furniture are truly unique in their subtle elegance.

The desk measures 64"w x 24"d x 30"h. It's large enough to support your laptop plus notepad, books or other materials, but small enough to fit in most any room of your home or office. It features four tapered legs, two drawers to hold supplies, and a keyboard tray with room to store more supplies. The desk top features a grommet for computer cables so the top of your desk stays perfectly neat and organized.

Each lateral file cabinet measures 32"w x 20"d x 30"h, and features two large drawers which can hold legal-size hanging files or your desired contents. The cabinet sits on sleek stainless-steel legs. Placed side-by-side, the two lateral file cabinets form an impressive 65"w x 20"d x 30"h work or display surface. If you're lucky enough to have a dedicated office space with sufficient floor space, placing the two file cabinets behind the desk allows you to work at the desk, pivot to the file cabinets/tabletop behind you, and back to the desk, as needed.

The desk and file cabinets are in very good condition, with minor blemishes consistent with 12 years of continuous use. The hand-rubbed oil finish is spectacular, and requires periodic maintenance (I recommend Liquid Gold furniture polish - it's very easy to apply and provides a lovely satin finish).

This well-made, sturdy, elegant furniture will serve you well for years to come, and will make a beautiful style statement in your home.
