Three trivets in Kamakura -Bori lacquer, a method used to layer lacquer and rub away to polish the surface. The Carved surface is prepared in wooden disks, and many layers of lacquer are built up to allow a deep polish. Beautiful asthetic carving on a circular format of bamboo and lotus leaf. The measurements are 4.5" and 5.25" Vintage 50s Japan.
