Clover's Cottage offers this colored reproduction of the original Italian Print, titled "Chiesa di Paolo alle tre Fontane." The original, was created for the book, "Della magnificenze di Roma, antica e moderna", by Guiseppi Vasi and published between 1747-1761.
The print depicts the Church of Saint Paul at the Three Fountains, in Rome, along with surrounding structures and landscape. The text at the bottom of the print identifies the various parts of the complex:
"Chiesa di Paolo alle tre Fontane": Church of Saint Paul at the Three Fountains.
"Porta e manto del antico Monasterio": Gate and wall of the ancient Monastery.
"Chiesa de SS. Vincito ed Anaftario": Church of Saints Vincent and Anastasius.
"Chiesa ove sono le tre Fontane": The Church where the three fountains are located.
"Chiesa di S. Maria Scala Coeli parte del Monasterio": Church of Saint Mary Scala Coeli, part of the Monastery.
The scene includes architectural details of the church and monastery complex, along with figures and a horse-drawn carriage in the landscape. The print is framed in a new gold-colored glass frame. It is a beautiful reproduction.
