He was especially known for his black-on-black pottery in the Santa Claria, New Mexico design style. Ben Saxon received many Southwestern art awards during his lifetime. The piece is approx. 13"W x 12"H with an opening at the top of 5" It is signed on the bottom by Ben Saxon. It retains and excellent finish throughout, with no visible damage. In all the piece is in excellent condition and would make a prize keepsake in any collection of fine American pottery' See less
