The red arrow indicates the direction of movement of the military column, five blue dots are the designation of the simplified load class (mlc 5). Visible traces of the original paint, typical patina of age. Signs of this type were used by the wehrmacht to mark the maximum permissible load capacity of bridges, roads and military transport routes. The arrow indicated the direction of movement of vehicle columns, and the blue dots corresponded to the load class (military load class). The sign comes from lower silesia - a region of great strategic importance during world war ii, from the city of hirschberg (now jelenia góra in poland). See less
