This is a beautifully colored self-portrait with koinobori carp flags in the background. It is multi-media (oil paint, pastels, ink) on cold-press cotton watercolor paper. It is signed on the lower left and again in pencil on the back.
Evelyn Delight Carpenter was a California artist whose work has been exhibited worldwide and collected by many, including Vincent Price of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Also known as Eve Delight, her married name was Evelyn Carpenter. She was a friend of the current owner of this painting.
