This is a handsome watercolor by Australian artist Rhys Williams, known best for his oil landscapes and as a commercial artist. During World War II, he was appointed an official war artist to the Volunteer Defense Corps Division. He won several awards, and his work is represented in the Art Gallery of New South Wales. He was a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW. This painting is signed with only his first name on the lower left, matted and housed in a simple wood frame.
