Bruce Burdick's desking system designed for Herman Miller as The Burdick Group System was named by Time Magazine as One of 1981's Best for Industrial Design. The desk system is flexible with all of the worksurfaces and components mounting to a support beam that does not dictate where items are positioned, leaving the configuration of one's desk mostly to the imagination.
This particular L-shaped desk was configured to an 8x8 footprint to fit in contemporary office footprints, and for the home office. Laminate worksurfaces accented with a marble half moon, and a return surface with upmounted storage, create a user-friendly arrangement that can be used as either a left-hand (as shown) or right-hand.
There is a Herman Miller label on on the desktop in each unit.
