Measuring almost 6 feet tall (68”), It is a statement piece. It is finally executed on fabric with watercolor and perhaps gouache. It depicts a scene of a very high ranking Persian official who appears to be recognizing his constituents. It has a phrase written in Persian that we do not know the translation. The colors and details are stunning, deep, navy blue with soft shades of blue, terra-cotta colors, seafoam, green colors, deep, green, blush. The artwork appears to be affixed to a board, we do not know the method by which it is affixed. It appears to have been framed in the 1960s based on the terra-cotta quilted like fabric matting and the champagne color bamboo like frame. we believe that the fabric is likely older than the framing. The details of the men in their turban clad and traditional clothing is exquisitely done. This piece would fit well and a globally or ethically designed home, it brings beautiful earthy colors.

68 inches tall by 48 inches wide by 2 inches deep

this is a nice condition, it is not under glass, so there may have been fading over the years. Found a few tiny spots where there has been an abrasion to the fabric surface. There is no artist signature that we can see. The frame is in nice condition. And it is ready to hang. See less
