A centuries-old Chinese tradition; cormorant fishing involves using trained cormorants to catch fish in rivers. At the center of the painting is a red pagoda, with stairs that lead down to a striking Junk boat, detailed in bold browns that contrast with paler colors used throughout the image. Signed in the lower right. Set in a decorative reeded and fluted carved wooden frame.
