Rare to find a pair, these decorative ship glass bottles may be from the early 1900s. The bottles were webbed with rope to allow them to be hung and it is believed that they were often hung on the outside of the ship in order to keep beverages cool. They are sometimes referred to as Sake Bottles which became a generic name for this type of bottle even when it did not contain what we know as Japanese Saki.
Great character for your home, patio or dock.
