This chair was famously designed for the professors of St-Catherine’s college in Oxford. Function wise the higher back adds a level of comfort, and it is also set on a five-foot supportive base that allows it to swivel, making it the perfect vintage desk chair. The body of the chair has a great shape, and has been newly reupholstered in an off white and taupe linen from Marc Alexander, which looks perfect against its aluminum armrest. There is a bit of patina to the base, but it is in great condition. Note: there is no stamp or signature from the vendor on this piece. See less
