The bronze has a beautiful patina. The sculpture is wonderfully crafted and evokes the imagination at every glance.

Attributed to Aharon Bezalel an artist who was born in Herat, Afghanistan and moved to Jerusalem in the 1930's. As a youth was engaged as a silversmith and craftsman, and was a student of the sculptor Zev Ben-Zvi from whom he absorbed the basic concepts of classic and modernist art and interpreted, according to them, ideas based on ancient Hebrew sources. He started studying art and sculpture in the 40's at the New Bezalel in Jerusalem. Bezalel began bronze casting during the 60's.

This stunning figurative bronze sculpture is in very good vintage condition with minor age appropriate wear from age, materials and use.
