Circa 1970s. An artist of wit and charm and certain playful surrealism, Camarena specialized in these fantasy niñas, often quoting works by other painters. There is no darkness in him, nor is there any knowing irony. Not so much a naïf as an innocent, with a pure heart and a paradisiacal imagination.
Oil on canvas measures 28" x 36", and the frame is 29 1/4" x 37 1/2".
