Up for Sale are two wonderful examples of some of Carter’s work for the Alcoa Steamship Company from the mid 1940’s. 1/2 Paintings (Ship at Dock, La Guaira) was published by Time Weekly Magazine as an advertisement for Alcoa. This painting measures 28” x 23” -oil on board. Dims with Frame 33.5” x 28.5” The second original work by Carter is named (Government Square, Paramaribo , Suriname). This painting (oil on canvas) measures 23” x 28” - canvas only.
28.5” x 33.5” w/Frame. Included in the sale is an original booklet with the 9 Prints of Carter’s work for Alcoa Steamship Company. The booklet has all 9 prints including the two that match the 1/1 original paintings. Overall the booklet is in fair condition as it has been handled by many folks over the years for display purposes.
