Six hand-glazed square tiles are arrayed in a two X three grid that are arrayed to depict an abstract coastal scene with a shell-like form. The tiles are glazed in white, beige, pink, blue, and brown tones. The piece has a light wood deep window-box style frame with a grass cloth mat. Harris Strong was known for his tile paintings and other ceramic works. His artworks often featured nature-inspired themes and are characterized by bold colors and textured surfaces.
