A French antique Henriot Quimper handled jug/biberon featuring a petit Breton man with his pipe, demi-fantaisie floral greenery, and French blue, yellow, and black banding. Biberons were used by the Bretons to feed babies. The HR Quimper marking under the man indicates this piece was made between 1896 - 1922.
In very good condition for Quimper faience of this age with no cracks, hairlines, chips to the clay, or repairs identified. There is a glaze fleck (chip to the glaze only not the clay body) on the top of the spout, wear to the rim and base, areas of glaze crawling on the rim and body from production, and glazed over clay bits/debris from production. Dimensions are approximately 6" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep.
