This is a cut crystal inkwell that has darkened a bit. It has a metal cap with two sets of markings-both are in the same space and the same markings, but I don’t know whose markings they are. The cap it likely silver plated and is tarnished, but the color looks great with the inkwell, so I am not planning on cleaning it. The markings, shown in poicture 4 are GAB, a heart, something I cannot make out and H7 or M7. Under that is GAN, the heart, the other marking and H7.
The inkwell measures just short of 2.50 inches across with great cuved sides and it is 2.00 inches tall to the rim and about 2.75 inches to the top of the cap.
The hinge is intact and the cap opens and closes easily. The inkwell has no ink in it and no residue. The bottom is not marked.
