Designer velvet fabric used for the cushion is the most antediluvian traditional woven. Velvet is a choice not only for clothing but also for furnishings. Velvet upholstery, velvet decorative throw pillows are the greatest authentic decor for your cozy home. Silk velvet ikat fabric is also famous with the name Ikat and as maghmal in Persian. First a manufacturer in the case of the silk velvet ikat fabric dyes warps many times the length of the finished fabric formed the raised velvet pile. Then he arranges the ikat dyed warp threads on the loom between plain orange or pink dyed foundation warps. He weaves the cloth in plain velvet technique. Upon completion, the raised pile is not clipped. A razor is through the wire groove leaving a perfectly even, clearly ikatted, pattern on the pile.
Velvet Ikat Fabrics are handwoven and hand dyed texture, that is the reason they often have slight imperfections, such as flecks of other dye colors, looped yarns and what appears to run. This inherent beauty of the fabric contributes authenticity to the charm of our handmade craftsmanship.
