This antique Gabbeh Palas rug, woven circa 1920, is a rare piece of Persian tribal art. It features a flat-woven wool base with a knotted pile animal motif, highlighting the craftsmanship of nomadic weavers. The striped background and raised design create a striking three-dimensional effect.
Its natural vegetable-dyed colors, deep reds, golden yellows, blues, and browns, have aged beautifully. At 3'3" x 3'10", it’s ideal as a collector’s item, wall hanging, or decorative accent.
