Magnificent 1984 signed Abstract Geometric Mixed Media large scale 2D origami folded paper wall art piece composed of purple, white, black, & gray folded paper matted & framed inside a plexiglass box. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, Plexiglas shadow box has some minor scratching. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. Move over 50 Shades of Gray….. You’ve got nothin’ on this!! WE have… (well, maybe not 50) but MANY shades of Purple!! We’ve got lovely lavender, marvelous mauve, incredible indigo, gorgeous grape, awesome amethyst, vivacious violet, and oh-so-pretty periwinkle!!! Purple-a-Plenty!!! And let me tell you this piece is BIG, BOLD, and ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! First of all, it is 6 feet 11 inches long and 44.25 inches tall!!! Ya… it’s a statement piece for sure!! The artwork features two distinct sections. The top consists of a black background with repeated purple, angular shapes that resemble stylized birds, arrows, or boomerangs in colors of various purples & white contrasting against the black background. The bottom section is composed of rows of purple floral, star-like, or umbrella-ish shapes with white centers that graduate from the top with large to “gone,” arranged in an eye-catching grid pattern. GORGEOUS!!! It is 2 dimensional, surrounded by a gray matte, and framed inside a plexiglass box. It bears a signature on the side of the triple rolled paper gray divider between the sections; however, after extensive research we have been unable to recognize the signature BUT we do recognize the date as 1984, AND that this is a phenomenal piece for purple lovers and abstract art lovers alike!! It would be stunning in an entry way, above your bed in the master bedroom, on the wall in your living or family room, or in your dining area on a large wall. Anywhere in your home that needs a POP of purple with an awesome abstract ambiance! You simply can’t beat a beautiful piece of art… and folks… just BEHOLD THIS BEAUTY!!! That’s right… You absolutely MUST make it YOURS!!!
