I've never seen one of these amazingly sleek, downright sculptural, iconic American desk/table lamps in this color combination/configuration. Wow. Oh, did I forget to mention that as a light source, it's unimpeachable? Your papers will never be better lit.
As you can see, it's had a somewhat rocky existence (until it fell into my loving hands). The patina on the base has been compromised by the elements, and there is a slightly repaired dent in the aluminum part which obscures the light bulb. Minor dents and such on the shade (solid aluminum) have been smoothed out and it's now great-looking from a respectable distance (don't get your magnifying glass out).
All in all, a fabulous piece, a true icon of American lighting, in an irresistible color combo!
Measures about 11 5/8 across the shade, about 13 1/2 high. The base, 6 5/8 across.
