This piece breaks down into 5 parts; the top, 2 end legs, and 2 cross supports. There are 4 wedges in hardwood that lock the pieces tight. The end legs have mortise/tenon construction. This piece appears to have been adjusted or altered over the years. The underside of the top shows 2 newer supports and nailing (which we indicated with blue tape in pic). This table shows scratches, weathering, wood shrinkage (as seen on the top ends). The 6 tongue and groove boards that make up the top slightly vary in size from 5.5"-6" in width. The height of 31.5" allows this piece to be used for dining, or as a kitchen island. See less
