This handsome solid oak cabinet was crafted in 18th century England, functioning like a narrow armoire or closet for hanging coats and other garments on a series of iron hooks mounted to the interior. Thumbnail molded paneling on the front and sides give it fantastic depth of color with visual presence to draw one in for a closer look. The door is carved as four panels below an alternating rosette motif resembling church windows, indicative of the cultural and historical context when this fantastic storage piece was made.
