A fine and rare Meissen porcelain Blue Onion or 'Zwiebelmuster' porcelain charger.
The charger dates to Marcolini Period of Meissen porcelain production, which spanned from the late 18th to the early 19th century. It has the typical blue and white decoration of the pattern with fine gradations in the application of the blue.
The reverse bears a blue underglaze crossed swords and star factory mark and impressed numbers and cyphers.
