These highly collectible cookbooks are filled with award winning recipes, in both Chinese & English, with many color photographs and black & white illustrations. These hardcover volumes have colored dust jackets and plastic protectors. Each book measures 7.5” x 8.75”. Pages range from 386-400 per book.

Fu Pei Mei (1931-2004) is most easily understood as the Julia Child of Taiwan, whose televised cooking shows charmed and enlightened cooks for decades after World War II. In 1955, she established the Chinese Institute of Taiwan where within a few decades more than 20,000 students studied under her guidance.

In her first volume, published in 1969, the recipes are arranged according to geographical place of origin. In volume two, which appeared in 1974, the recipes are organized by ingredients with headings such as fish, duck, shrimp/seafood, beef, pork, and sweet desserts. And in volume three, the final book, it contains recipes for nine complete formal Chinese banquet dinners from different provinces in China. The formal dinner has long been an integral part of Chinese celebrations and entertaining, and in this volume the sublime recipes are being made available to any chef or home cook.
