This cast brass mythical bird is quite naturalistically modelled with vigorous incised detailing with scallops decoration, holding a scrolling leafy tendril in his beak.

The wings which are slightly raised from the rounded body are engraved with feathers and he flaunts a handsome crest and tail.

It stands on a circular base with lotus petal decoration all around.

A round bowl at front is cast as a projection from the body to hold oil and wick.
