I was told only 12 were ever made- I'm keeping one and selling the other 10. A nice lady in Michigan has the 12th- and was shocked that the other 11 had survived. I prefer to keep the set together, but I could be induced to split them- or even bribed to part with the 11th. Roughly half of them have the original black tube covered feet and half have been fitted with custom self leveling studio feet. The inner seat is a custom molded lightly cushion foam with a stitched abstract design. The outer fiberglass is a matching Ochre. The shells are each signed Herman Miller on the bottom. There are light marks on the outer shell- part of the fiberglass design. The piping is a solid black, completely intact on all. There's very, very light fading and a couple tiny marks on the pleather foam portion. Most still have the original delivery tags from 1974 on their bases. The metal legs have a patina to them - this isn't high gloss target knock offs- these were made to be used. I'm unsure of how to properly clean them to get their original shine- on all portions. Honestly I'm kind of opposed to it. Just a wash with mild soap is all they've gotten. Please check out the pictures thoroughly as they are a vital portion of the description. More pictures can absolutely be arranged. Please forgive the backdrop. I'm saving for a decent house- my emphasis is on quality and safety of my furniture at this point. It's not the Ritz, but it's safe, secure and clean. See less
