Be Still is part of my Running In Circles series, where I explore the introduction of curved forms into my traditionally linear, geometric language. Soft arcs and rounded shapes intersect with strong verticals and horizontals, creating a sense of quiet movement and calm tension. The muted palette of warm neutrals and grays reinforces the painting’s invitation to pause, reflect, and find stillness within complexity.
Oil paint and cold wax on Encaustiflex, a microfiber material made from recycled plastic soda bottles. The gray background continues around the edges. The painting is ready to hang or placed in a floating frame for a more formal look.
