The piece is in very good condition. The wood case has its original finish. The barometer appears to be in fine working order.
German text from the period 1871-1918, when Strasbourg belonged to Prussia: “ J. and A. Bosch, Strassburg i. Els.” The barometer depicts the logo of Freemasonry, the Masonic compasses and the letters G. and L.
