The top was quarried from the storied Carrara region where masons and sculptors have been sourcing its white with light gray veining for centuries. The apron surrounding the top is an intricate combination of egg & dart, fluting and beading, wrapping completely around the facade. The design is supported by four identical legs, so that it is free-standing and does not require attachment to a wall. This feature makes it useful behind a sofa, settee or large chair as well. Each leg is elegantly tapered and fluted, with a large plinth on the upper section adorned with detailed rosettes. The legs are all tipped with amazing laurel leaf designs to complete the embellishment. The gold finish on the console has achieved a lovely patina, ensuring this piece will make an exceptional accent to your ageless interior!
