Since his popularity exploded in the 1960s, Peter Max's vibrant art has appealed to a global base of art lovers. Many of his original pieces reside in more than 100 museums, private collections, U.S. Embassies, and corporate headquarters. By the time he reached his twenties, he was a master of Neo-Expressionism, featured on the cover of Life Magazine, and appeared on late-night talk shows.
This stunning framed silkscreen, "Pink Sky Flyer," exemplifies Max's self-described "Cosmic '60s" period, when his art symbolized the counterculture era with exaggerated use of vibrant color and psychedelic images. Colors are bright, nicely framed and matted.
