Zeh, Scherzer & Co. was founded in 1880 in Rehau (a city located in the state of Bavaria) on the initiative of Johann Nicol Adam Zeh, who was its director until 1912. It became one of the main porcelain exporting companies in Bavaria. At the beginning of the 20th century, 70% of production was shipped to the United States. In 1955, when it celebrated its 75th anniversary, the company had 850 employees. Since 1960, it focuses on the production of tableware and coffee sets. It remained in operation until 1992.
