This vintage ceramic vase was produced by w. Goebel kg in west germany during the 1970s. It features alternating glossy turquoise and matte cobalt blue glaze with a fine craquelure (crackle) texture, characteristic of mid-century west german ceramics.
the form is minimalistic with a narrow cylindrical body and a flat base, making it suitable for both decorative and functional use. A stamped mark on the underside reads 5108.
w. Goebel is widely recognized for its ceramic production in the 20th century, especially for decorative objects that reflect both quality craftsmanship and period-appropriate design. While the company is most known for its hummel figurines, its mid-century and 1970s ceramic vases are increasingly appreciated by collectors for their color palettes and glaze experimentation. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
