Elegant mid-century ceramic vase designed by Anna-Lisa Thomson for Upsala Ekeby, Sweden, in the 1950s. This rare piece features a beautifully sculpted, organic form with a finely textured relief pattern running in vertical, leaf-like ribs. The white glaze softly reveals the red clay underneath, highlighting the craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Marked “UE Sweden 24 T” on the base.
Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905–1952) was one of Sweden’s most celebrated ceramic artists. Her work blends Scandinavian modernism with a poetic sense of nature and form, and her pieces are now iconic within mid-century Swedish design. This piece has an attribution mark,
