The shelves are themselves made up of two bits: the perforated sheet metal body and the chrome-plated sides. All the elements are rounded, including the small rubber bits it stands upon, making this unit a friendly sight. Were it not painted red, but something more neutral, this fine piece of design would be almost benign, but we are glad that this is not the case and this shelving unit cannot be mistaken for purely functional design.
