This one is veneered with attractive well figured walnut veneers and also boasts some rather attractive marquetry inlaid decoration.

It stands at coffee table height, which means that with both flaps raised it makes a great portable coffee table with the additional bonus of being able to have its flaps folded down and can be tucked away when not in use, taking up effectively no floor space whatsoever of consequence.

The term “Sutherland Table” is believed to originate from the first full size, non “baby” variants of these tables being named after The Duchess Of Sutherland, Mistress Of The Robes To Queen Victoria.

This coffee table has been examined and attended to by our highly skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers and receievd a general clean, plus natural beeswax polish before being offered for sale. This means that it is very much in retail condition and ready to be immediately placed into the home.
