It's made of cast cement with a weathered natural grey finish. Its weight is strong enough to anchor most large umbrellas and can withstand substantially strong winds. While we don't have the parameters or maximum size of the umbrella for which it was engineered or the velocity of wind that it can endure, we can tell you that it has been put to the test with a 15' umbrella in the windy town of Yucca Valley for the past few years without incident.
