Titled "House by the … Read more Vintage Framed Print from an Original Watercolor Painting by Alison Steer Wilson (American, 1926 - 2001). Titled "House by the Sea," this piece captures a favorite scene from Wilson's early Cape May, NJ watercolor paintings, circa 1980s. It beautifully depicts a typical Cape May, New Jersey Victorian beach house set on a dune. The double matting in blue and red reflects the colors of the American flag, which is seen flying from a balcony. The print quality makes it is difficult to distinguish it from an original watercolor without a magnifying glass.

The frame measures 18” x 22”, and the artwork itself measures 9.5” x 12.5”. This piece features a beautiful wood frame with bronze highlights and includes wire on the back for easy hanging. It is in excellent vintage condition, with slight toning around the edges of the print and age-appropriate wear that does not detract from this stunning piece. See less
