An impressive vintage mid-century large scale black chalkware great dane statue. Ready to stand guard this life size dog sits alert with mouth open and tongue slightly out to one side. It has likely been repainted all black with a slightly glossy finish and rests on a gray tone concrete style rectangular base. The scale of this piece - incredibly large for chalkare - makes it unique but also rather delicate, as plaster/gypsum can be a fragile medium.
