Fantastic Original Mid-Century Oil on Canvas Painting of a California Plein Air Seascape and Shoreline.
Several shades of blue, highlighted with white, tan, browns and olive green. Handsome solid wood frame in a cerused blue-over-brown-and-black color. Tan linen mat and gold leaf features.
Strong feeling of movement in both sea and sky. In the manner of Edgar Payne, Guy Rose and William Wendt. Rich, tonal and dimensional. Unsigned, but of high quality.
This is a large painting, measuring
36.75”w x 21.75”t x 1.25”d. Strung and ready to hang.
