Crafted from crimson velvet and suspended from a turned wood dowel, it features a raised, hand-stitched coat of arms in gold and silver metal threads featuring a crest with a helmet, two rampant lions or griffins beneath a radiant crown or flame. It is framed by three embroidered fleur-de-lis and edged in olive woven trim and dark bullion fringe.

While it may have initially been intended for civic, ecclesiastical, or commemorative display, this large, decorative textile brings history and presence to French country, European-inspired, or maximalist interiors.
